COMPANY
The company, headquartered in Southern Germany, close to Stuttgart Airport, was founded by Bernhard Ide in 1957. Thomas Ide led the company from 1984 to 2014. Alexander Ide took over management at the turn of 2014/15.
IDE manufactures tools, machines and equipment for plastics extrusion and plastic recycling. The mid-sized family company serves as a partner to the plastics processing industry, and is managed today by the third generation of the Ide family. With a history stretching back over sixty years, the company is a model for ambitious, dynamic development, especially when it comes to the company‘s recipe for success: its clear focus on the needs and requests of its customers. Even Bernhard Ide‘s decision to design his first impulse welding equipment for plastic foils in 1955 was focused clearly on the market for plastic products, which in the post-war years was experiencing accelerated growth. Henceforth, the Ide family of founders and developers has dedicated itself to developing machines, equipment and tool systems for processing thermoplastics. Today, this is clearly reflected in the company‘s motto: Absolute dedication to extrusion and recycling, with the combined expertise of three generations, innovative technology and traditional values.
IRT
IRT – IDE Recycling Technologies is specialized in manufacturing plastic recycling systems and whole solutions for the plastic industries. Within its more than 60 years experience in manufacturing extruders, IDE is able to provide customized solutions in german quality to the worldwide customers.
The combination of the recycling extruder with state of the art melt filters and pelletizers in modular design and for various different plastic materials give the customers highest flexibility, less downtimes and minimal production costs.
RECYCLING EXTRUDER
With the motto ,,German quality to reach your recycling targets“ IRT develops, designs and produces modular recycling systems according to specific customer needs. Line capacities between 300 and 2.000kg/h should cover the market needs.
In the counterrotating cutting compactor, the plastic waste is shredded, compressed, heated, and fed to the extruder screw.
Special plates guide and compact the material in the direction of the rotating knives.
A special screw geometry allows better feeding of the material from the cutter compactor and optimal use of the compacted material.
By heating the material in the cutter-compactor, higher proportions of moisture, printing inks or additives can be pre-degassed.
Fully automated temperature control in the cutter compactor, combined with optimal material feeding and special screw geometries, enables the highest efficiency of the extruder, very good homogenization and the highest output with
lowest energy consumption.
